So many of you have been supportive of my project for Emily, I thought you might want to know. Sadly Emily's cancer is now in her spine and diagnosed as incurable. Her family has taken her off her ventilator and meds to make her more comfortable and alert, giving her the chance to be more there for the time she has left.
We are still going ahead with the benefit and I am still stitching away on the quilt. Please pray for Emily and her family, she had only one chemo treatment left and they had such high hopes. Remember, God has given each of us only a certain number of days- touch the lives of others in whatever time you have, just like Emily has.

Words are impossible to find for this. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
ReplyDeletethoughts, prayers and a miracle. Give her strength and joy with her days.
ReplyDeleteoh dear. my heart goes out to Emily and her family.
ReplyDeleteA couple at our church spoke of losing a
ReplyDeletechild shortly after birth and how blessed they
felt to have loved and held their child for that short time. And even though they only had those hours, there little boy’s love has forever made a difference in their lives. Praying for Emily and her family and friends.
i am quietly stitching for i have no words.
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for her family, but I know by Faith that the LORD loves Emily and her family very much! He will reward her and her family's sufferings with beauty. How right you are that we each only have so much time on earth, and what we do here stores up in heaven. Jesus said what we give us on earth we receive in heaven and what we try to hold onto we lose. I lost a grandson 3 years ago, and I know I will see him when the LORD calls me home~
ReplyDeletei will pray.......so sorry for the family. God, be with them and help them to be with you during this time of unspeakable pain.....
