Sometimes things end up as they should be. Emily's benefit was a huge success. Emily's Garden was put in the $5 raffle along with 3 vacations in Gatlinburg. Emily's brother Austin bought a ticket and won one of the vacations. He then approached the person who won the quilt and asked if they would be willing to trade the quilt so he could bring it to his mother and sister who had to be at home.

I agree, the Beautiful quilt is just where it belongs, no child should ever suffer from this dreaded disease. You created a lovely quilt for this beautiful child and I will say a prayer for her & her family.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your time and talent.

That's a short version of what happened but the quilt is where God wants it and that is all that matters. I know that it will be cherished because of the love that went into each stich.
ReplyDeleteI did get a chance to look at the front and back of this quilt up close and personal and I have to say that it is truly a work of art!
I love love love this quilt. I'm a huge fan of cherries anyway, but this is so great! As if I needed another project idea...my list of things to do is already too long. Maybe I'll just admire this one from afar!
ReplyDeleteHow Awesome! What a great brother! Such a touching story of his love for his family.
